They say the night is darkest just before the dawn,
but as crimson rays decorate the clouds that once bestowed my hope,
I can't help but fear the worst has yet to come.
It is in this moment where the time elapsed has collapsed the patience lining the walls of my lungs.
Left breathless, it's no wonder that the sound of every word I speak is distorted through the clench of gritted teeth.
Perhaps the depths of my logic are far too heavy to remain afloat in the waters of the shallow minded.
But come hell or high water I will find a way to make it through to you.
I've cast out the light, now show me you can shine.
I will ignore the condescending tone of your voice as long as you heed the gravity of mine.
You've embraced the symptoms and after all this time, they've yet to pass.
Will you finally find a way to rise above all of this?
We have fought the false hope that kept you alive,
I see the defeat in your eyes.
How much longer will it take for you to realize we're right?
But come hell or high water, I will find a way to make it through to you.
I've cast out the light, now show me you can shine.
But come hell or high water, I will find a way to make it through to you.
How much longer will it take?
The truth is your denial has laid you to rest.
So if this is how it ends, and this is how you fall,
then these are the last words I want you to hear.
If there is a life after this I hope I find you there.
Where you'll be free from confinement at last,
and peace will have finally found your heart.
No matter how many times the mirror cracks or smudges, the enemy will always stare back at you.
Leave behind your destructive necessities,
to which you're slave;
A lost entity.
Free the foe you're neglecting to blame.
Are you afraid?
We're all afraid.
You've embraced the symptoms and after all this time,
they've yet to pass.
You weren't ready to down what we poured in your glass.
You've sold your stars hoping to find your way when you were lost.
But now your time of darkness has come,
I've cast out the light, now show me you can shine.

Why believe?
With knowledge blinding me, has ignorance forsaken me?
On the contrary,
as the horizon draws near darkness swallows the sky,
and as my vision blurs,
the mirage almost dies.
I know this may not be what you'd expect
Falsely glorified cheats and fake poets.
But whos perspective are these judgements made with?
Your ability to trust is surreal as is your apprehension to love
why not question every fucking thing fed to us from the hands of a stranger
How can you differ their facts from fantasy?
Has the whole picture been painted so clearly?
They try to trade
your dreams in for their dismay
Appeased but at what cost?
Ive seen so many of you fall,
hoaxed until your desires inadvertently dissolved.
Moral obligations abstractly contrived,
made to think that you're free
(unknowingly on your knees)
bent to their will with ease
Betray your better judgement,
fight for your own cause.
Deny their subjugation,
cross the lines that they have drawn.
I will still try to establish a point of reception,
but not to fill with pity and indignation.
To be made mindful of a disguised consequence that
you continue to aimlessly chase.
So tell me, how can you differ their facts from fantasy?
When they themselves have forgotten their own beliefs.
They try to trade
your dreams in for their dismay
Convinced all else is lost
And this will be
a lyrical symphony
dont let them take you too.
To do something without heart is labour
and your back is at its breaking point
Although I may be redundantly proceeding,
unless you acknowledge me
Im content fleeing from your flawed reality
To do something without heart is labour.

These are your fallen dreams.
We don't seek accolades; we relish in tomorrow's uncertainties.
You've tried to mold us to take your place (shocked and awed at our dissarray),
taken back by your confusion as to why you thought we'd stay.
You greet the future with the mistakes of your past,
dettering us with orders, we'll refuse your proposterous house of glass.
A superficial generation feeding fuel to their morales set aflame.
Burning them to ash as the scapegoats of their blame.
Fucking burn them to the ground, destroying any hope for change.
We fight to preserve what little is left. But these chains still drag with every step.
Our refusal to comply has not granted us our freedom,
these chains still drag with every step.
We fight so that our struggle will not have been in vain,
we fight to preserve what little is left.
With curiousity portrayed as wrongful ignorance,
how will we proceed?
When measured against the failures of the masses,
why willingly bleed?
This everlasting reign of trepidation demotes our very being.
Our persistance will not waver, but to have fought and lost is the best consolation that awaits our reprieve.
With curiousity portrayed as wrongful ignorance, how will we proceed?
We fear that the fruition of our efforts will not be that of your choosing,
and we mourn that for this you'll hold us in contempt.
But It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
These are your fallen dreams,
we don't seek accolades,
we relish in tomorrow's uncertainties.
You've tried to mold us to take your place,
shocked and awed at our disarray,
taken aback by your confusion as to why you thought we'd stay.
But these chains still drag with every step we take.
We fear that the fruition of our efforts will not be that of your choosing,
and we mourn that for this you'll hold us in contempt.
But It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.
